Product use
Used as a pharmaceutical intermediate for the production of sulfa-6 - methoxil. Intermediate used in the synthesis of bactericide eschericin.

It is also used in the synthesis of diaryl pyrimidines involved in cross coupling reactions of diaryl groups. The synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates is mainly used in the production of sulfonamides.

Toxicity and protection
It can be decomposed into phosphorus oxychloride, phosphoric acid and hydrochloric acid by water in eyes and respiratory tract.
